This sort of problem also happen in the MDI interface (namely the map editor windows) of a game creation system called Sphere (see www.spheredev.org). However, this application refreshes the contents as soon as you switch windows in the MDI, so the only time you're getting to see graphical glitches is when you use the scroll bars to scroll through the map. Just reporting because the problem seems related. I'll file a bug on it if desired.
