I'm having the same problem with winecfg. It just stopped working. I've tried nuking .wine and reinstalling 1.1.15, and also 1.1.17. I still can't get winecfg (or anything to run) I'm using: Linux spectre 2.6.28-sabayon #1 SMP Wed Mar 11 14:25:13 UTC 2009 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux winecfg gives no output.. it just sits there. sometimes I get: err:process:__wine_kernel_init boot event wait timed out I put wineserver in foreground and there is a ton of spew.
