Wine in gNewSense 2.1

Subject: Wine in gNewSense 2.1

I installed Wine version 0.9.59-0ubuntu4 (us.archive-gnewsense.org)
for gNewSense 2.1.  When I ran Notepad I can type text but when I press
the Enter key there is neither carriage return or new line action
performed.

Has any one experienced this and fixed it?
