Re: dvdflick no longer works in wine

This problem was reported in Sep 2008, but still seems to be unresolved.

DVD Flick versions up to 1.2.2.1 worked fine with Wine, but none of the 1.3 releases work. I am now using DVD Flick 1.3.0.4 with Wine 1.1.13. DVD Flick runs okay until you try to add a video file, then freezes.

Console output is pasted below. The point (*) is reached at the point when the startup banner disappears and the program window opens. The final ALSA message appears at the point when the program hangs. If I run the command "sudo modprobe snd_seq" before launching DVD Flick, I do not get the ALSA error, but it still hangs; thus I suspect none of this output is relevant to my problem.

Any ideas?
Matthew.
