I actually had the most recent version but still had same results. I initially never added myself to the group because I chmoded o+rwx to the /dev/nvidiaactl file. Obviously I assumed wrong. After adding myself to the group I was 1.01 worked just fine. Thanks again.. p.s .. I got myself the newest version also.
