Hi there

I am an old man trying to keep up with my son but people who give instructions on these forums seem to think that we are all hi powered users who only need the minimum of guidance to achieve perfection.

Let me tell you that is not the case. I am a novice with linux and wanted to have it so that I can do some work for my son that is linux based on the web.

This is fine as the mail and Internet browsing automatically loads with ubuntu. I have a multi screen set up on my flight simulator and need to load a windows program to support the screen on this system.

I have read up on wine and am sure this will be perfect for me but I can't get it to install and am sure everything is messed up by now.

What I need is a step by step guide as to how to install Wine on Ubuntu without the usual gaps and assumptions that we the new ones know something let alone everything.

Heres Hoping
