Try installing it agin in a sperate WINEPREFIX (prefix all wine / winecfg / regedit / winetricks command with "WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-warcraft" or something similar...) 1. Install Warcraft 2. Install Frozen Throne (if applicable) 3. Install patch 1.22_a_ (IIRC The "a" variant removes the dependency on VCRUN2005) 4. Delete / rename Movies folder 5. Edit registry (see below for file from appdb) (Manual editing is probably easier...) 5. Try running the game 6. If it STILL complains about Visual C++ runtime, try installing vcrun2005sp1 with winetricks. I have no DLL overrides and only Warcraft installed in that WINEPREFIX. It does not look if vcrun2005 is installed. Patch download: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21224 Make sure about your display drivers... (Anyone with an easy, cross-distro way of checking Intel driver versions?) (I'm running 2.5.0 of xf86-video-intel according to portage, but it used to work on all >2.1 that I had installed....)
