Hello everyone, I'm new to these forums (and to Linux, I just installed it a few days ago), so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong or forgetting something by posting this here. First off, I'm using Ubuntu 8.04, and the program that I'm having trouble with is Yugioh Virtual Desktop 9.0, Release Candidate 1, Test Build 4 specifically. You can get the Beta 12 download (which you need since the Test Build download doesn't contain every necessary file) here: http://www.xerocreative.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29186 The Test Build 4 download can be found here: http://www.xerocreative.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31714 The problem I've been having is that upon running the .exe file, it loads up to the main screen, but then immediately pops up the following error: "Run-time error '445': Object doesn't support this action." And then the program closes. I've tried searching on Google and the site's forums, but the only answer I've been given is "Wine is missing some runtimes". Which runtimes are missing and how to fix this problem hasn't been stated, though, even though this seems to be a common problem for Linux users. After checking this site, I tried taking the .ocx and .dll files that come packaged with the program and putting them in Wine's system32 folder (making sure not to copy over any already-existing files) and trying again, but that didn't work. I then tried configuring Wine to run all the necessary files as Native then Builtin, and while the program still doesn't run, it now gives a different error: "Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)': Automation error." I've figured out that making a single file Native then Builtin is what triggered the change, but that's as far as I've gotten, and neither internet searching nor browsing this site has given me any further clue as to what to do. So I decided to ask and see if people with more Linux and Wine experience than I have can figure out how to make this program work. Sorry if that was unnecessarily lengthy or detailed, I just want to make sure nothing important was left out. Thanks in advance for your time.
