I did not understand why you could not run it... pls made something like that insert your original cd/dvd in your (cd/dvd) drive in most cases it automount somewhere specific to your distribution for ex. i have opensuse all mounted cd(dvd, usb) is mount to Code: /media/[labelof media] so if i insert my warcraft cd in my dvdrw it will mount it in Code: /media/WarcraftIII in most cases you could have different location of your installation media keep this in mind when will went to next step. In this step i will call it $installmedia also you shouldn't have .wc3 directory Code: cd ~ mkdir .wc3 env WINEPREFIX="~/.wc3" wineconfig here you should only check that you have winxp simulation Code: env WINEPREFIX="~/.wc3" wine "$installmedia/Setup.exe" After installation proceed you sould run this from any terminal window you have > env WINEPREFIX="~/.wc3" wine "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III" So if you have some problem after that please give us log from your terminal window also you should write what distro you use... it is important. You should write here exactly what are you doing if you realy want to have the answer.
