Well my distro is Ubuntu 8.04, WINE 1.1.0, I've used all options that were available in winecfg (ALSA, OSS, ESound...) if that's what you mean. So dsound isn't suppose to work? I spent an hour trying to figure out where I went wrong... I sent a message to the user who put up this solution to see what exactly they did to get the sound to work. Would I by any chance have to revert back to an older WINE?
