I'm in a similar situation. My wacom bamboo works on gimp (linux), including pressure sensibility, but fails in most programs under wine, with the single exception being ArtRage. There's sensibility also in Open Canvas (under wine) but for some reason, the vertical axis is upside-down. ArtRage will also have an inverted axis if I enable the "precise tablet" option. (Running debian lenny and wine 1.0)
