Appreciate that input. I made your recommended changes and the app is running much better. I think Ubuntu pulled down a Wine update which may have had some impact but the application now opens in less than 5 seconds. So, things seem to be running really well on this platform. Will try the Apple/Darwine configuration in a week or so once we are sure this is stable here. I will updated the Bugzilla bug report as well. Couldn't have gotten here without your input!
