Actually, ftp and msn stopped working, apparently my dad decided that, even though linux was showing <1% network use, it was stopping everyone else getting on so he disabled all chat and ftp ports. Out of interest, is there nay truth in that, does linux use up all the bandwdith on a network where all the other computers are windows.
