I'm not sold on the Idea that it's an "Older card" issue for the error spam we are both seeing I'm seeing this same error spamed to my console while playing eve, but it's not causing the game to be unplayable. err:threadpool:iocp_poller NtRemoveIoCompletion failed: 0xc0000008 The black screen experience from what I understand is due to issues with ATi support. For video I'm running dual Sli nVidia 9600GT and the 173.14.05 binary blob from nVidia For Wine I'm running 1.0-rc4 and am currently waiting for a world update before trying 1.0-rc5 Distro: Gentoo x86_64 CPU: AMD Phenom 9850 8gb RAM Under the "native" client everything works except for corrupted textures which make all 3d models look like they were skinned by H.R. Gieger. Under wine static images don't always load properly making the map browser unusable, and on one occasion in 5 days of playing the world backdrop showed the same improper/corrupted static images (imagine you're flying in a cube made of walls inspired by the Matrix except black text on white backgrounds intermixed with grids of pink dots on black backgrounds). -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Eve-online-and-wine.-tp17122198p17878585.html Sent from the Wine - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
