I loaded Open Perl IDE from http://open-perl-ide.sourceforge.net/ and I don't have any trouble scrolling quickly in a large file. Please be more specific about the problem, and point me to a text file to use in the test. Also, what speed CPU are you using, and how much RAM does it have? And what's the URL to get notepad-plus? (There are so many notepad replacements, I don't want to pick the wrong one.)
