tried it too (on fedora 8). I got the log in window coming up after doing first wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks flash Then copy oleaut32.dll from my windowspartition to system32, and run the app by: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="oleaut32=n" wine "C:\\Program Files\\MXit\\MXitPC\\launcher.exe" Cannot test any further as i can't login So apparently another bug in wine's oleaut32, you might consider open a bug for it
