Except for HIM changing status, start up a chat, type something then start changing my own status (just clicking through the list for awhile). Eventually, it will update the screen and continue to work. It's a bit of a hassle (and I haven't had the opportunity to try it with multiple chats going), but it seems to work without fail. I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and wine 1.0RC3 AMD Athlon XP 2.2GHz 2GB DDR1 RAM (Dual-Channel) Nvidia Geforce 6800n
