In theory, yes. Many apps don't work yet, but check the AppDB to see
what does. iTunes should work well, but doesn't sync yet (if you're
brave, you can compile a version that does, the patches just aren't in
mainline wine yet). Kaspersky anti-virus...not sure why you'd want to
install that under wine...

Wine can act as any windows version, so you don't have to get the XP
version, but you may need to change the Windows version wine is acting
as in 'winecfg'.
