Yeah, on Windows it runs most games at half the speed, but it's ok enough to run compiz with acceptable framerate (doesn't drop below 20). I also have a load average of 3.42 3.61 3.05 (Boinc + Firefox + Python running an heavy script) so that may affect too the result.
