I'm trying to solve this problem and I'm reporting the progress in the AppDB thread http://appdb.winehq.org/commentview.php?iAppId=31&iVersionId=5124&iThreadId=32046. I'll post further information there as I make any progress. The Wine version of msiexec.exe is certainly part of the problem, and this means that it will cause damage to quite a few other applications which rely on msi-type packages. Regards, Charles Fuller.
