If you're feeling experimental, Mono 1.9 (preview of 2.0) supports
quite a lot of .NET 2.0 functions. You install the Windows version
from inside Wine. You can get it from mono-project.org, or using Dan
Kegel's winetricks script. There's still lots of functions missing,
but it's worth a try. .NET 1.1 is mostly working in Mono.
