I haven't tried it, but some say that cups-pdf will do this for you.
What Linux distro are you using, btw?  And is it 32 or 64 bits?

suggests trouble if you're running 64 bit linux.

Windows-based pdf printer drivers ought to work eventually,
but I'm not enough of a printer guy to know if they work now.
