No, that's wrong idea and it will not help to stop spam in the forum anyway. Proper thing to do is to use additional protections from spam-robots such as "Textual Confirmation" MOD (as has been suggested in "Has anyone tracked down Bekkeypelet?" thread). This should stop frequent spam messages.
