If its caused by color depth, you could try restarting the xserver in a lower color.

Unfortunately, thats quite a bit of work for playing a game.

Is the game freely available so that others can try running it?

Hi all,

Panzer General II has been reported to work fine here :
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=947

I get exactly the same problem that the one which is described here :
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2007-March/026538.html

I use Fedora 8, and all my RPM are up-to-date and official.
I use wine-0.9.54-1.fc8

This bug seems to be exactly the same I got running Panzer General
under Win XP, without having activated the "Win 95/98 compatibility mode".
But even if I say to Wine to emulate Win 95 or 98, it fails.

Thanx if you can help me. :)
