The program is "Jack", world champion computer bridge produced by Kuijf 7 Kuijk software. Website: http://www.jackbridge.com This is a bridge program that will work with Windows 98 & up. It has a registration code which has to be entered to start the installation. When trying to install with Wine, the following message appears: Unload debugger and try again.
That kind of message usually means that the app is copy protected. jackbridge.com's FAQ confirms that "cdrom protection" is used. http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2002-October/009093.html suggests that the copy protection in question might be safedisc. Wine does not yet support safedisc; that's http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=219 Work is under way to add safedisc support, but there is no target date yet. By the way, that was a very good bug report. Sorry we didn't have any good help for you. You can make your next bug report even better: a) your subject line should say which program had trouble b) you should mention the version of wine you're using - Dan -- Wine for Windows ISVs: http://kegel.com/wine/isv _______________________________________________ wine-users mailing list wine-users@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.winehq.org/mailman/listinfo/wine-users
