you can usually ignore this problem.

maybe you should run the game in desktop mode first? or does the app
support non-fullscreen? then you would see, that killed the app - if
really the whole box freezes then i would consider checking temperatures
of graphic-card or maybe your ram is broken? to enable the desktop mode
start winecfg and set a desktop on the graphics-tab (same res you play
the game in). have you tried running the game with opengl instead of
d3d? AFAIK there is a commandline switch (wine w3.exe -opengl).

that is no problem - wine has to run in 32bit for 32bit windows.
