If you are then still asked for the CD, it is a copy > protection scheme and you need a No-CD crack. also configure the device in winecfg as cdrom and try mounting the cd in the drive before hand; if your distribution/os automounts things with the name of the CD, then this might be a bit of a hastle to config with WINE. if this all fails, then its very likely a copy protection, that does not work with WINE. -- cu
