Hello Alan,

I can't get a Cisco VPN client to install in wine

Do you need to run the VPN client inside of wine? As I understand it, the usual way is to set up the network infrastructure in Linux, and then use that from wine.

Take a look at the Linux-package "vpnc" if that is available with your distribution (it's there in Debian).

Hope that helps,
Jens

I assume I have two choices:

1. Wait till the necessary support is built into wine's setupapi.dll
2. Get a copy of this dll from somewhere and run it native

Problem: I have a Windows license for this notebook, but no copy of windows is installed. I could copy the .dll from somewhere else, but which version of Windows to use? Does it matter? Are there licensing issues?
