Does it happen with Wine's notepad?
Please give specific instructions for reproducing the bug.
Also, how did you install Wine?
Was it in all cases the version that comes packaged with the Linux
distribution in question?

It also might be related to your German locale. Try "export LANG=C"
before launching wine. I must do this on my Hebrew-locale system. Are
you using UTF-8?
