Like the majority of Windows apps, the game might be trying to read
its version from the registry. Since you didn't actually install the
game in wine, it won't find it.
I suggest you try to install the game inside wine.
Did the installation actually finish? It looks like the installe was
aborted before it could finish which would be the first reason your
program doesn't run. Check the bugzilla if there are simliar problems
with the type (brand) of installer used in your application.
