EF>I don't get any error messages, though. It just does EF>nothing. umm... I've got to correct myself. If I start Word97 from a terminal, I get the following error message if I try to print: Status Information, attempt 1 of 3: sending job 'juergen@BetriebsPC1+66' to MFC7820N@localhost connecting to 'localhost', attempt 1 cannot open connection to localhost - Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden Make sure the remote host supports the LPD protocol localhost itself is known: juergen@BetriebsPC1:~> ping localhost PING localhost (127.0.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from localhost (127.0.0.1): icmp_seq=3D1 ttl=3D64 time=3D0.049= ms Why do I need LPD if CUPS is running? And wine identifies the printer as managed by CUPS...
