The only line in wineprefixcreate (its a shell script) that could
*theoretically* cause this to happen is
"${WINELOADER:-wine}" rundll32.exe setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 128 wine.inf
and even that seems unlikely. Do you have any remnants of old wine
installations (perhaps compiled yourself) lying around?
Is there anything unusual about your setup?
