Have any other ideas? ANOTHER thought... It might be useful to get regclean, or regcleaner;they both seem to run under Wine, and let them have a go at the registry. Just run regclean several times until it stops wanting to fix things and just wants to exit. regcleaner, written by Jouni Vuorio, is more thorough, but regclean runs a bit better.
