Thanks for the reply, I was rather hoping that I wouldn't have to change the 
locale of my entire system. My system is set as GB UTF8 and can display all 
the chinese correctly, but Wine has big problems. If I could adjust wine 
somehow I would be pleased - is there a way of achieving this goal?
