Hi, after reading bugtracker i feel it missed some important parts. the wine.inf file is used when wine creates the ~/.wine/drive_c. If you remove the enties after wine has created the directory the changes do not have an effect. You can either remove / rename your ~/.wine directory or remove the three file from ~/.wine/drive_c/windows and ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32 directories.
