I had reported same problem on wine 0.9.12 for SuSE 9.2 here and in the 
german suse mailinglist.

No solution yet.

Maybe it has to do with

http://www.winehq.com/?issue=311#sft2ttf: Getting Rid of Fontforge

but seams to be a special suse problem.

Marcus Meissner, the maintainer of the sue wine rpms, should know about 
that, because he took part in the discussion on the german suse list.

Until a solution is found I will use 0.9.11 which works well for me.
