I can search, that isn't an issue. I've been sharing my midi collection
with it for a few weeks now, and downloads/uploads work great. Can you
switch to a different desktop? And when you do, WinMX stays on the first
and KDE stays switched to the second? If you have it on the transfers
screen, how much cpu does it use?

As I told you everything works. No problems with desktops. CPU usage is a question of how to calculate so you have to tell me your tool. I use gkrellm and it shows about 20-30%.

And, if it is working for you, what can I do to get it to work for me? I
click on the desktop 2 button in the taskbar at bottom of screen, it
switches to desktop 2, and immediately switches back. I close WinMX, and
the desktops work as expected.

You can try with using win-20041019 and WineTools setup.

OK, I'll try that. I'm using the most current Wine. The previous version had an issue with windows restoring themselves when you tried to minimize them, maybe they fixed that but broke the desktop switching? What version of Wine are you using? And does the WineTools work with Slackware 10.0?
