I am using the gentoo stable ebuild - 20050111-r1
The program I am running is: MPLAB-C18-Student-Edition-v2_40-win32.exe
When I try to run it I get an error from the installer:
"An internal error has occured attempting to create the time stamp for MPLAB C18 v2.40 Demo. Please contact Microchip for assistance. (Error Code: )"
If any other FIRST Robotics teams happen across this message, the mplab compiler (mcc18) does work using wine, but the installer does not. (At least not when I tried it). Try this for a nice "how to" get it working document: http://adambots-live.sourceforge.net/
