Java plugins in browsers through Wine

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Yes, I know it sounds silly, but I need to enable java support in the
browsers- either IE or Firefox- that I'm running through Wine from
Linux. It's because a site I want to access requires the Chime plugin,
available only for Windows, but also a functional Java VM.

When I run the Java SDK or JRE installers through wine, the installation
gets to a certain point and then stops because it's interpreted my
virtual drives in Wine as being full (in fact it registers a negative
amount of space!).

Has anyone by chance encountered this sort of problem and knows how to
get around it?

Thanks,

Jon
