Thanks for the answer. I guess there are many programs that can't be run on Wine, especially those directly from Microsoft like Office or SQL Server. I also asked about the installation of SQL Server and received no answer on this list. Now I'm reading about UnixODBC and FreeTDS, that seem to be the solution I need to be able to use M$ databases on Linux. Let's see if that works.
