I have ie5.5 working in wine 20040914.
I mostly follow franks instructions however my overides are as follows
[AppDefaults\\iexplore.exe\\DllOverrides] "shlwapi" = "native" "rpcrt4" = "native" ;"ole32" = "builtin" "shdocvw" = "native" "wininet" = "native" "shfolder" = "native" "shell32" = "native" "shell" = "native" "comctl32" = "builtin" "commctrl" = "native" "urlmon" = "native" "pngfilt" = "native" "mshtml" = "native"
Works for me fine.
