Re: [Wine]eBay Turbo Lister

It wasn't actually my own theory of why it wouldn't work, but once it was suggested elsewhere as the source of the problem, it made sense. MS Access runtimes have been a PITA even under a real Windows system (at least on the ones I run, where I'll either remove or at least lobotomize MSIE, which upsets a lot of the more sloppily written applications).

Has anyone ever with any version of wine get eBays Turbo Lister to work?
The problem is the native unicode dll unicows.dll which does not work
and causes an access to a wrong address. I tried to link the wine
"unicows.dll.so" into the Turbo Lister directory without success. The
program than just hangs.

I had experimented with this for quite some time. Someone else on this list had also been fiddling with it, and no luck with either of us. Both of us had managed to get it to *install* under Crossover Office, but crash shortly into running the app. It appears to be a problem with the MS Access database that TurdboLister is based on.

Why do you think so? As I mentioned the problem comes from the
unicows.dll which is known to make problems. If it is a problem with the
database then give me a hint how you found this out and what problem it
is. As I can run MS Access I might get a little more down to the core
problem.
