I do not know Mandrake). Upgrading that would be a possible solution. Can you post this file: /usr/include/alsa/version.h (if alsa/version.h is somewhere else, tell me where) > I'm using Mandrake 9.2 (soon upgrading to 10.0), on an Athlon 1.8 Ghz.
