Well I tried that but I got the same result again;
I'll try installing the previous wine version again (I've compiled it it's only going to do a small amount of the work) and check wether that works.
I may also try and write a bugreport on this of I find out how :-S

Weird I coudn't get it to work last time I tried :'(

Try making a totally 'blank' install of wine.... with just the default
directory tree, and try reinstalling IE from zero.

(I used wine-20030813 before - I'm keeping it up to date)

How did you get IE working in the previous release?

Hello everybody,

I installed the new wine released today; but after the installation was
complete suddenly ie5 can't load html pages anymore; I tried importing
the registry files again but that didn't help

Can anyone tell me what to do so the thing works again ?

Oh, by the way, is there a way to make the error warnings popup again
instead of just the yellow thingy in the left corner - that one didn't
react when I clicked it ? I need that as I want to use the browser for
debugging html pages anyway,

Thanks for your help,

Joris
