Hi all, I'm trying to get wine to work on SuSE Linux 8.2 but I'm having a very hard time at getting any program running. I need to be able to run a couple of Windows programs (namely Dreamweaver and Paint Shop Pro) but would like to avoid having a windows partition. One of the first things I did was install the latest wine version and got a 97% from winecheck (only some small errors like floppy not being writeable). I've followed the instructions in various Faqs and on-line guides but both programs refuse to install. I've also tried copying the installed files from a windows partition and after copying the dll's wine said were missing Dreamweaver works but it doesn't keep any settings even asking for serial no evey time it runs and Paint Shop Pro still doesn't work. I then tried pointing wine directly to the windows partition and Dreamweaver worked fine but the Paint Shop Pro window loads but sort of freezes half way. Is it so hard to get a windowless wine working? Or is wine normally more stable with a windows partition? (Defeats the purpose then IMHO) Any help anyone? Regards Mark A.
