Howdy,

Okay. After some more delving into the usenet, I discovered that there is apparently a mini-howto for Redhat 9 users. However, I downloaded the most recent version of the documentation I could find, and I'm still not seeing it. Is there anyone who has a link to said howto offhand?

Thanks,

Subject: WINE Install Issues...

Hey, everybody.

I'm kinda new to this list as well as WINE, so excuse the newbie, pls :)

On to the problem. I'm running (or trying to run) Wine 2003618, compiled from source on RedHat 9. I ran wineinstall, and everything seems to compile fine; however, when I get to the part where it installs the registry, I get this:

Preparing to install default WINE registry entries...
Installing default WINE registry entries...

wineserver: /tmp/.wine-sean must not be accessible by other users
Registry install failed.

When I try to run WINE (by typing "wine"), I get
wineserver: /tmp/.wine-sean must not be accessible by other users

Help. Panic. Thanks =)
