I've just started using WINE (1.5.27) on openSUSE 12.3, KDE 4.10.2 and
all seems well.
I use it to run some specialist, but I imagine low resource intensity,
programmes such as Drago (I maintain that one on the database)
I've just installed another Go programme that sort of works but for a
glitch in the graphics. Discussion with the developer has suggested
it's a graphics card issue rather than a WINE issue (he's got no direct
experience of WINE)
The problems relate to building (layered?) bitmap images (the Go stones
don't appear properly on the board)
I've tried it on a netbook with an Intel gma500 (which is still a bit
iffy under Linux, apparently) and on a desktop with an nvidia 6200 with
both nouveau and the nvidia drivers and get the same problem.
I don't really have a clue and couldn't find anything on the mailing
list archive.
May I ask if anyone has any information, please?
