> dimesio, thanks for all the help. I compiled Wine myself and now sound works correctly. vc6 errors are still there but I suppose they are nothing critical. I have also noticed that winecfg reports much fewer errors now. I guess this is the way to go for all who can't get the packages from their distros to work You should report the problem to your distro package maintainer.
