1. Start regedit (wine regedit) and locate the key DirectDrawRenderer under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D. What value has it? Is it gdi or opengl? Delete the key. This will restore the original state. 2. Take the second workaround for NWN: remove all videos from the movies directory (move them to another location). Now NWN should start normally with the default opengl renderer (you won't see videos obviously).
