Yes, there are tons of technical limitations. WINE emulates the API
layer of Windows. It does not emulate hardware.

Windows is an Operating System, so it expects to have control passed
to it by a bootloader, and to be able to probe and use *hardware*
directly. It is not even remotely sensible to try and run Windows
under WINE. It doesn't make any sense, and it is not possible. It will
never be possible.

It is also completely missing the point of WINE. The purpose of using
WINE is so that you don't *need* to use Windows.
